Ocean COVER PHOTO: In 2003, he told us, on a day when ocean swells were huge, he accepted an invitation from North Valley Helicopters, which flies tours to the lighthouse, to join them for a great photo opportunity. "The next summer I was contacted by a photo agency in Washington that had found the photo on my website and said the USPS wanted to commission a painting of it for possible use on a postage stamp. I had to keep this secret until it was officially announced in the Fall of 2006, one of the hardest secrets I've ever had to keep."
